Christmas at The Hamlets at Vernon! Students from Ms. Karen, Ms. Daisy, Ms. Maddy and Ms. Jennifer played a melody of songs to bring cheer to the residents of the Hamlets, and it was an outstanding performance! Well done everyone, we are really looking forward to next year!
The Carriage House Orchestra played in the Rotary Carol Festival again this year, and what a fantastic concert it was! Listen to these musicians who have worked incredibly hard over the past few months getting ready for this event. A huge thank you to Bev Martens, Morna Howie, and Natalie Kober for your patience, determination and leadership in supporting our students and helping them to reach their potential.
Look at how many elves are in the Music School these days! We are hustling and bustling in preparation for the holidays, but first, let’s take an elfie.
Send us your pictures! We’d love to see them!

Happy Monday morning! We can’t think of a better way to start our week this week, than by introducing one of our hard-working students in our Student Corner. Introducing VCMS guitar student Bob Kersey! Bob has been studying with Ken Scott for several years now, and is a most inspiring student. Never one to shy away from a wide variety of genre’s – Bob has played everything from Classical Guitar Repertoire (using a pick – an additional challenge) to Bluegrass, Ragtime, and Jazz. He participated in a guitar trio performance at the school a few years ago, and continues to grow as a player and take on new challenges. We are so happy to have Bob here and look forward to hearing new things from him. Bravo Bob!
